Hi there! I'm Sam (he/they)
I'm a personal trainer in Belconnen, Canberra

I discovered the gym as an adult with naïve enthusiasm, moving from machine to machine with no clue what to do. I remember how intimidating the free weights section was and how overwhelming the mountain of online exercise advice was.

Now, the gym has become a place for me to explore movement, build strength for the activities of life, improve my mental health, challenge myself, and work towards a variety of strength, muscle building, weight management, sports, and movement goals. I believe it can become the same for you too!

As a personal trainer, I'll work with you to figure out how exercise fits in your life and supports your goals. I combine my experience of a decade working in education, equity, and inclusion and a structured approach born from my training as an engineer to hear, empower, and support you.

Training With Me

PERSONAL TRAINING

One on one or small group training (up to three people) individually tailored to your goals and needs. 

  • 30min and 45min sessions available. 

  • Take the guesswork out of your training - I'll guide you every step of the way. 

  • Learn how to perform exercises safely and effectively. 

  • Stay accountable to your goals - consistent work will lead to results. 

I am based at the Canberra International Sports and Aquatic Centre (CISAC), a Club Lime facility. 

ONLINE COACHING

A personalised program that you can follow independently in your own time in the gym, at home, or even outdoors. 

  • Be sure you're working towards your goals by following your workouts in an app with sets, reps, and videos demonstrating the exercises. 

  • Weekly check ins boost accountability and help you stay consistent. 

  • Your program changes with you - I'll update it based on your progress and feedback. 

  • Add in person or online sessions to learn exercises, kick start your program, or stay consistent.
